More efficient cabling

CONEC hybrid connectors reduce cabling and installation efforts

The ongoing shift toward decentralized automation driven by Industry 4.0 is placing increasingly high demands on electrical connectivity. Hybrid connectors are especially in demand because they combine multiple functions – typically power, signal, and data - into a single interface. This makes them an ideal solution for modern, networked production systems built around compact, modular machines with decentralized intelligence.

Why choose
CONEC hybrid connectors?

Using one connector instead of two or three reduces installation time, increases modularity, eliminates cable clutter, and lowers weight on the end device (e.g., motors).
These are just some of the key advantages of the CONEC hybrid connector series.
With multiple sizes available (B12, B17, B23, B40), CONEC offers the right hybrid connector for virtually any power category – whether it’s for a small DC drive or a high‑performance servo motor.
The combination of overmolded cables, field‑attachable connectors, and seven different flange variants for front‑ or rear‑panel mounting provides machine builders with a highly flexible, modular system.

Many unique technical features

CONEC hybrid connectors feature a standardized, separately 360-degree shielded 4-pole data element for Industrial Ethernet (Cat 5, AWG22) across all connector sizes: B12, B17, B23, and B40. The "core" remains identical; only the power section scales.
The connectors offer flexible use of the data insert. They are available as a blind module (power only) or as a 2-pole insert for two-wire bus protocols – without altering the base system.
In addition, they cover a very wide performance range within one consistent system: from small DC drives to servo drives with currents up to 64 A (B40), including multiple pole configurations (e.g., 4+PE, 3+PE+2, 6+PE).

Handling, Safety and Coding

The hybrid connectors feature a quick-lock bayonet coupling instead of a traditional threaded connection: a quarter turn is all it takes. No torque wrench required – yet still IP67 rated. This significantly reduces installation time, especially on multi‑axis systems.
