Assistance with
selection from Dynetics

Dynetics, with locations in Germany and the Netherlands, assists developers in selecting the right components for mechatronic applications. For equipment cooling, Dynetics offers a wide range of axial and radial fans from leading manufacturers. All fans meet international standards such as UL, CSA, TÜV, CE, and CUL, and comply with REACH and RoHS requirements.

Quiet, energy-efficient,
and durable fans for
efficient cooling

Fan efficiency and service life are key factors to consider when making a selection. Ultra-reliable fans have a service life of 80,000 to 100,000 hours at temperatures between 20 and 40 °C. These requirements are best met by ball-bearing fans and efficient motors.
With such motors, bearing temperatures remain low, which extends service life. Performance metrics include, for example, the L10 curves of selected fans, which achieve a service life of 100,000 hours at 20 °C and 60,000 hours at 40 °C.
For more cost-effective applications, sleeve bearing fans with a shorter service life of 30,000 to 40,000 hours are suitable.

Additional features

To expand their range of applications, fans and blowers offer a variety of additional features. These include, for example, signal outputs for speed monitoring, detection of threshold exceedances, and blockages. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control enables stepless regulation of fan speed, which can significantly reduce both power consumption and noise levels. Some fans support predictive maintenance. For example, if the fan speed unintentionally decreases, a signal is emitted. This allows potential problems to be detected early and necessary maintenance measures, such as preventive maintenance, to be initiated. Dynetics can adapt various fan models for operation in harsh or humid environments. Options include waterproof versions or those with moisture-resistant protective coatings. Waterproof fans (up to IP68) are ideally suited for environments with high humidity, heavy dust, or salt spray. In collaboration with the manufacturer, custom solutions – including cable assemblies – can be developed.
Drive Technology

Centrifugal fans for applications with limited installation space

Radial fans or blowers are often used to direct airflow specifically at hotspots. They provide reliable airflow performance, take up little space, and thus enable a compact system design.
An example of this device class is the waterproof blower DC09733024S1100H, which measures 97 x 95 x 33 mm and weighs 200 g.
It delivers an airflow of 1.85 m3/min (1950.35 Pa) at 69 dBA. Models are available with supply voltages of 12, 24, or 48 VDC. Fans from the DC09733 series are available in various power classes and with a range of options. Dynetics reports that this series has been successfully deployed in harsh environments with high humidity.
The compact DS12728024H0000A radial fan is a 120 mm DC fan (24 V) featuring an ultra-slim 28 mm design, housing dimensions of 120 x 28 mm, and a metal base plate. Its technical specifications include a current draw of 0.85 A, an airflow of 51.0 CFM (3.30-inch H2O), and a noise level of 64.5 dB.
