M12 connector series with bayonet quick locking
At the SPS, CONEC presented the new M12x1 connector series with bayonet quick locking. With the three-point
bayonet locking, it is possible to lock the connection manually with a 90‑degree turn. Direct tactile
and acoustic feedback is provided after the connector is locked.
The new M12 bayonet version by CONEC does not require any additional tools in order to meet the mechanical
requirements with regard to tightness against dust and liquid media in industrial environments. In the locked
state, the IP67 degree of protection is met. The CONEC bayonet locking variant thus offers the user simplified
handling and, at the same time, secure transmission of signals and data.
The print-coupling socket variants are also equipped with an internal thread in the mating area and thus guarantee 100 percent backward compatibility with standard M12 connectors. This means that new systems can be equipped with the M12 bayonet on the device side without any problems. As standard, the M12 bayonet series is presented in with A and D coding. The print sockets are available in axial and angled form for rear wall mounting and with a panel thickness of 2.2 millimeters. Other codings can be offered on request. ▪ ds
