The embedded system MB2-10ANS from ICP in Germany is equipped with the new Alder Lake N generation of processors from Intel®. As with its predecessor, the MB1, two variants with energy-efficient processors are available.
Variant 1 with the N97, a four-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.6 GHz, and variant 2 with the Intel® Core i3-N305 with eight cores and a maximum clock speed of 3.8 GHz. The MB2 offers a DDR5 SO-DIMM socket that can be equipped with a maximum of 16 GB. The MB2 system is a compact solution measuring just 171 x 133 x 57 millimeters. It offers space for a 2.5-inch SSD and expansion cards, for example an M.2 2280, an M.2 2242/3042/3052 and an M.2 2230.

Robust, compact IPC

The MB2 system scores with a variety of interfaces such as DisplayPort, HDMI, two 2.5 GbE ports, a 10-pin terminal connector with 8-bit GPIO, an RS-232/422/485 interface, remote power on/off, three USB 3.2 ports and one USB Type C port and line-out port.
In addition, two USB 2.0 ports and one RS-232 interface are installed in variant 1 with the N97 CPU and three RS-232 interfaces are installed in variant 2 with the i3-N305 CPU. With a voltage input of 8 to 26 volts DC and an operating temperature range of -20 °C to 60 °C, the MB2-10ANS system is ideally suited for industrial applications. The MB2-10ANS is a compact embedded system that is also prepared for use as an inference system The MB2-10ANS can be expanded to include a Hailo-8 AI-IC.
The Hailo-8 extension allows data to be evaluated by the AI and decisions to be made directly at the edge. On request, ICP Germany can supply the MB2 as a ready-to-use system with suitable industrial memory modules and solid-state disks, as well as pre-equipped with a Hailo-8 expansion cards.
