Compact linear actuators

At the MOTEK Dynetics will present in hall 8, booth 8216, high-performance mini‑linear actuators of the new CAS series from KSS, a stand-alone multi-axis control series and many other components for mechatronics.
The long-life mini linear actuators are designed for precise strokes on a small scale and for use in single-axis and multi-axis assemblies. They are 15 x 23.5 millimeters small and 107 or 127 millimeters long. The linear actuators are suitable for automation applications in laboratories as well as in the field of packaging and medicine. They are driven by 2-phase hybrid stepper motors with NEMA-6 flange dimensions.
The coupling-free construction with the spindle ensures tight tolerances, precise attachment and saves weight, whereby a small NEMA6 motor for the mini actuator is sufficient for high performance, precise guidance and power.

Stand-alone multi-axis motion control

The freely programmable multi-axis controllers of the PMX series from NPM feature either Ethernet or USB 2.0 and RS 485 interfaces. They can be used for a wide range of applications and can control not only stepper motors, but also up to 4-axis servo motors or positioning tables in any combination. The system provides easy-to-use, cost-effective multi-axis motion programming for laboratory and industrial applications. A programming language based on BASIC has been developed for the simple control of applications with up to four axes.

The PMX series is available in two versions for 2 or 4 axes

  • PMX-2ET-SA for 2-axis and PMX-4ET-SA for 4-axis control with one Ethernet connection
  • PMX-2EX-SA for 2-axis and PMX-4EX-SA for 4-axis control with one RS485 and one USB 2.0 port
Smaller than a ballpoint pen and easy to install: Linear actuators of the CAS series
The linear drives score with an optimal energy balance and operate quickly and precisely. Acceleration and speed can be controlled when required.
All linear drives of the new series are silent and stand out due to their greatly increased mechanical stability and improved positioning accuracy. The built-in linear ball circulation versions provide high stiffness, greater axial force and repeatability and adsorb radial loads and load moments.
Vibrations during stopping are effectively suppressed. Strokes from 20 mm to 40 mm and various shaft diameters are available in combination with threads and miniature ball circuit guides or rolled ball screws, with a travel length up to 40 mm, and an accuracy of 0.01 to 0.005 mm. ds
