In addition to the live application, Weidmüller will be presenting a number of other new products in Hall
11, Stand B58, such as the plug-in PRO COM communication module. The module enables consistent communication
from the field level to the cloud. PRO COM can be plugged onto the PROtop power supply for the acquisition
of product- and status-oriented data. The data can then be transferred to a higher-level controller and
finally evaluated in a cloud.
Another topic is 5G. This communication technology is considered an important contribution to the
implementation of Industry 4.0. 5G is an elementary component in the digitization of production and new
value-added systems.
