With an efficiency of 95 %, significantly less internal heat is generated, resulting in cooler electrolytic
capacitors. Operating field life is calculated at greater than 10 years at 75 % load, 40 °C ambient, and 230 Vac
input. This energy efficient power supply is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including
factory automation, process control and test and measurement equipment.
The 24 V output is adjustable from 24 to 28 V, using the front panel potentiometer or an external 5 to 6 Vdc
source, to compensate for blocking diodes or FETs in redundant configurations. Also provided as standard is a DC
OK relay contact, rated at 30 V 1A, and remote on/off functionality. The DRF960 power consumption is less than
1W to reduce energy consumption when the output is inhibited. Up to five units can be connected together in
parallel when set in droop mode current share.
The DRF960 is housed in a robust metal enclosure, measuring 123.4 mm in height, 139 mm deep and a width of just
110 mm. The power supply can operate from a wide range 180 – 264 Vac, 47 – 63 Hz input. Input to output
isolation is 3,000 Vac, input to ground 1,500 Vac and output to ground 500 Vac. The DRF960 is rated for
operation in -25 °C to +70 °C ambient temperatures (40 °C cold start), derating linearly above 60 °C to 50 %
load at 70 °C.
The unit is safety certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1, UL 508 and is CE marked for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS
Directives. The unit meets EN 55032-B radiated and conducted emissions, and complies with the EN 61000-4
immunity standards.
