Spectra PowerBox 4000 series for deep learning, machine vision and car testing applications

In complex deep learning and machine vision applications, but also in the field of car testing, the demands on computing power are particularly high. With the Spectra PowerBox 4000 series, Spectra presents a high-performance embedded server that has been specially developed for these applications. In addition, it can be adapted very flexibly to the respective tasks, both in terms of the processor configuration and the extensions.
The high-end version of the server features a powerful Intel® Xeon® Platinum processor with 28 cores and 56 threads with Deep Learning Boost. In addition, up to 768 GB RAM, a super-fast NVMe M.2 SSD with 500 GB as well as two 10GLAN and another four GLAN are definitely worth mentioning. One PCIe x16 and one PCIe x8 slot each accept e.g. professional graphics cards or AI accelerator cards. Extensive functions for management and monitoring such as IPMI (IPMI = Intelligent Platform Management Interface), TPM (TPM = Trusted Platform Module) or remote monitoring increase the reliability.

Fits in standard grid

The housing of the Spectra PowerBox 4000 series is tailored to the Micro-ATX board. No space has been wasted, so that the total volume is only slightly more than a third of a 19" system.

Nevertheless, it corresponds to the standard 3U grid and can be mounted flexibly with numerous mounting accessories. And the modular design makes the enclosure easy to maintain and, in case of a project, can be flexibly adapted to customer-specific requirements.

Active cooling

The optimized cooling concept features temperature monitoring and large fans as well as an easy-to-change filter mat. A kit with two 80 mm flanges is available as a special accessory for connection to the air conditioning of a vehicle interior. And the 'intelligent' OLED display mounted on the front of the computer (optionally also mountable on the rear) enables remote monitoring via a separate web browser independent of the operating system.

The Spectra PowerBox 4000 is recommended for performance-intensive applications, whether they involve enormous quantities of data or very fast or parallel data processing, as is common in the field of artificial intelligence. Due to its performance class, design and features, the PowerBox 4000 embedded server is suitable for a number of applications, such as machine learning on the edge, industrial image processing (machine vision) and car testing.

Machine Learning on the Edge
