CONEC goes 100 percent lead-free

Sustainability at CONEC is not just a promise of quality – it is a core element of our company identity. As an international manufacturer of connectivity solutions, we see it as our responsibility to conserve resources, reduce harmful substances, and protect our environment.
To live up to this commitment, CONEC will convert its entire product portfolio to fully lead-free materials by December 31, 2026 – and will manufacture 100 percent lead-free starting January 1, 2027. CONEC is thus compliant with the European RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, which restricts the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. For lead, the maximum limit is 0.1 % by weight. Although exemption 6c currently still permits the use of copper alloys containing up to 4 % lead, this exemption will expire in mid-2027.
The complete transition to lead-free products means high product safety and long-term availability for customers, full legal compliance, a sustainable material sourcing for an environmentally responsible supply chain, and full transparency regarding materials, manufacturing, and quality standards.
