12-port managed switch for industrial applications
In industry, networks are often used to control and monitor production processes. As these networks can be very complex, the Ethernet switches play an important role, as they guarantee the secure and fast transport of data to the right recipient.
The new 12-port managed switch IGS-4215 8T4X enables the creation of sophisticated and
fast industrial networks. It is equipped with a total of 12 Ethernet ports. Eight LAN
ports support speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s and four SFP ports allow the implementation of
particularly interference-resistant fiber optic connections with speeds of up to
10 Gbit/s. With the appropriate SFP transceiver modules, you can choose between single
mode or multimode mode.
Current redundancy protocols with functions such as Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP)
and Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) ensure high network stability and guarantee the
availability of critical connections. In addition, extensive management functions allow
precise prioritization of data streams and therefore perfect control over the network. All
necessary settings are made via an intuitive, web-based user interface.
The extended operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C and the robust metal
housing, which offers IP30 protection, ensure reliable performance in harsh industrial
environments.
