Railroad technology

The M12 bayonet system is also of particular interest for the railroad sector, as it offers high shock and vibration resistance thanks to the bayonet lock – a decisive factor in applications with high mechanical loads.
Particularly in rail vehicles, where constant vibrations and dynamic movements are common, the reliable locking mechanism ensures stable, long-term connections without accidental disconnection.
Additionally, the series meets the requirements of the European standard IEC 61373:2010, Class 1B, which defines the shock and vibration resistance of electrical components. Compliance with this standard highlights the suitability of the M12 Bayonet System for safety-relevant applications in railway technology and allows its use in demanding infrastructure installations.
