Nema 34 hybrid stepper motors with high torque

Nidec Servo (represented by Dynetics GmbH) has expanded its Nema 34 series of bipolar stepper motors with the KH86 motor series. The hybrid stepper motors offer a torque of 3.3 to 9.3 Nm (bipolar) and 2.5 to 6.7 (unipolar).
Nidec Servo was founded over 50 years ago as a manufacturer of small motors and offers a comprehensive range of motors and drives for applications from automation in industry, office and laboratory to medical equipment.
The range includes 2- and 3-phase hybrid stepper motors with very quiet operation and long life, which is the reason why they are already used by many of the world's major OEMs.
These motors offer high torque and low noise levels compared to conventional large motors. Nidec Servo offers six basic body sizes from 20 mm² to 86 mm² with different lengths to build a wide range of motors. They are available in angles of 0.6, 1.2, 1.8, 3.75, 7.5 and 15 degrees. With the KH86, Nidec Servo is expanding its range of hybrid stepper motors with high torque, a step angle of 1.8 degrees and a flange size of 86 mm (Nema 34). The KH86 series stepper motors offer high performance in a smaller package than conventional stepper motors in this class with a torque of 3.3 to 9.3 Nm (bipolar) and 2.5 to 6.7 (unipolar).
Drive technology
Further advantages are the higher limit torque, more holding torque, high speed, minimal running noise, precision winding, high rigidity and improved motor dynamics. The stepper motors are also available with a through shaft, which can be used for an encoder, for example. Mechanical adaptations to the respective application can be made by the manufacturer on request. Each motor can be supplied with a driver, also manufactured by Nidec Servo, which allows the motor performance and noise level to be optimized according to the desired application.
For multi-axis controls Dynetics supplies other economical solutions, such as the freely programmable CMD module with high data transfer rates and 2 to 4 axes with linear and circular interpolation. The module can be operated both in PC-based and stand-alone mode. It supports the BASIC-like programming language AScript of the manufacturer and supports C, C++, VB, VB.net, Linux, Labview and Matlab (with examples). The manufacturer provides a development kit with the necessary software. ds
