Premiere of the W3+ Fair at the new location Jena

Companies in the key technologies of optics, photonics, electronics and mechanics now also have an interdisciplinary presentation and networking platform in Thuringia.
The W3+ Fair for enabling technologies, will take place at the high-tech location Jena on 29 + 30 November 2023 for the first time. The cross-industry event aims to pave the way for technology-driven innovations in the vibrant photonics region. For two days, everything in the Sparkassen Arena Jena will revolve around technologies of the future. Large and small companies such as OptoTech, Fisba, WZW, TNO, Materion Balzers, PI, Mersen and many more will present their products and services. In total, more than 130 companies and partners will be present - from Thuringia, Germany and abroad.

Interdisciplinary networking for innovations

The free accompanying conference en-tech.talks also aims to provide impulses. Rafael Laguna de la Vera from the Federal Agency for Leap Innovations SPRIND will open the "Innovation Start-up Show" with his keynote speech, in which young companies will present their ideas. ASML, Zeiss, Jenoptik and Micro-Hybrid will also send renowned speakers to the stage. In addition, an EPIC TechWatch and a lecture block on medical technology are planned.
The W3+ Fair in Jena will be supported by the gold partners OptoNet and the European photonics network EPIC. New to the ranks of competence partners – alongside long-time companions such as Spectaris, OptecNet Germany, Photonics Germany and IVAM – are the Tridelta Campus Hermsdorf, the Thuringian Center for Mechanical Engineering, the medways medical technology network, the metropolitan region of Central Germany, een enterprise europe network and the East Thuringia Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gera.
