Spectra PowerBox 500: Embedded computer with excellent GPU performance

Machine vision requires high-performance computers that have been specially developed for high-speed optical detection and analysis on site. For these demanding tasks, Spectra has developed the powerful Spectra PowerBox 500 embedded computer series.
These high-performance computers have a very compact housing measuring 260 x 200 x 85 mm. They are extremely scalable – the integrated Intel® C246 chipset supports more than 20 Intel® processors of the 8th and 9th generation from Celeron® to Xeon®. The outstanding graphics performance is achieved by the graphics controller integrated on the chip.

In addition, the MXM interface enables an additional GPU extension which supports graphics cards of the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 series with 2,304 CUDA cores and 288 tensor cores in the maximum configuration level.
The required storage capacity is realised by two 2.5" SATA drives and is expandable by means of several mSATA and NVME SSD slots. A highly effective cooling concept enables fanless operation. This is realised by additional copper heatpipes in an aluminium housing which provide even better heat dissipation, and by the thermal separation of CPU and GPU.
An external cooling system can easily be connected to the maximum expansion level of the processor and GPU module used. The Spectra PowerBox 500 can be flexibly expanded with 10GLAN, LAN and PoE as well as digital I/O or serial interfaces. An optional Ignition Control function is available for applications in vehicles. The cable and jumperless design, integrated anti-vibration measures and the wide input voltage range of 9-48 VDC support use in harsh environmental conditions. ds
If required, the computer can be extended with an external fan
