The intentional avoidance of primary/secondary insulation achieves great efficiency up to 95 percent. The DDA
units can accept a wide range DC input of up to 9 to 53 Vdc and provide output voltages between 3.3 to 24 V.
They use buck-regulators, so any time the input voltage need to be at least 3 V higher than the targeted output
voltage.
Typical fields of application are industrial applications as well as test and measurement systems. Usually,
these systems use a common ground for all output voltages, so there is no need for isolated converters to
generate additional output voltages.
The DDA series has three standard models – a single output rated at +12 V at 20 A (adjustable from 3.3 to 15 V),
and two dual outputs versions rated at +12 V 20 A / +5 V 20 A (both adjustable from 3.3 to 15 V) and +12 V 14 A
/ -12 V 8 A (both adjustable from 3.3 to 24 V). The available output power is typically 250 W for the positive
outputs and 75 W for the negative output. The overall power rating with convection cooling is 250 W or up to 500
W with forced air cooling.
Features include remote sense, remote on/off, plus an open-collector power good signal for each output. The
dimensions of the DDA series are just 123.4 mm height, 115 mm depth and 36.5 mm width. This is the same shape
like a typical 120 W DIN rail power supply.
All models are safety certified to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and are CE marked for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS
Directives. The units also comply with EN 55032-A conducted and radiated emissions and meet the EN 61000-4
conducted, radiated and magnetic field immunity standards.
